What makes Raw Cacao such an amazing superfood?

MAGNESIUM: Cacao is a fantastic food source of heart-supporting magnesium.
ANTI-DEPRESSANT PROPERTIES: Cacao is a great source of well-studied neurotransmitters, which help alleviate depression and are associated with feelings of well being. All this makes cacao a natural anti-depressant.
LOSE WEIGHT, EAT CHOCOLATE!: Eating raw cacao is known to diminish the appetite. Therefore eating chocolate in its raw form helps one to lose weight by allowing you to eat less.
ANTIOXIDANTS: Cacao beans contain 10 grams per 100 grams of flavonol antioxidants. This is a whooping 10% antioxidant concentration level! This makes cacao one of the richest sources of antioxidants of any food.

At the beginning of his struggle, the warrior of light stated: "I have dreams."

At the beginning of his struggle the warrior of light stated: "I have dreams."
After some years, he realises that it is actually possible to reach his goal; he knows that he will be rewarded.
At that moment, he feels sad. He knows about other people's unhappiness, about the loneliness and frustration experienced by so much of humanity, and he does not believe that he deserves what he is about to receive.
His angel whispers: "Give it all up." The warrior kneels down and offers God his conquest.
The act of surrender forces the warrior to stop asking foolish questions and helps him to overcome his feelings of guilt.

Mantra for the day

In the infinity of life where I am,
all is perfect, whole, and comlete.
Change is the natural law of my life. I welcome change.
I am willing to change. I choose to change my thinking.
I choose to change the words I use.
I move from the old to the new with ease and with joy.
It is easier for me to forgive than I thought.
Forgiving makes me feel free and light.
It is with joy that I learn to love myself more and more.
The more resentment I release, the more love I have to express.
Changing my thoughts makes me feel good.
I am learning to choose to make today a pleasure to experience.
All is well in my world.

Preventing Cold with Herbalism

One of the herbalist's most traditional standby's for cold is still one of the best: use an infusion of equal amounts of PEPPERMINT, ELDERFLOWER and YARROW. Taken hot just before going to bed, this will induce a sweat, and if the cold is caught early enough, may stop it altogether. Even if too late for this, it will still be very useful. Other herbs that may be added to the infusion include:
CAYENNE: a favourite North American Indian remedy: use 1.25ml of the powder to really stimulate circulation.
CINNAMON: use a cinnamon stick, and break it into the mixture of herbs, for a gentle, warming and sweat-inducing effect.
GINGER: great a small piece of fresh root ginger into the mixture for extra heat.

Green Medicine

I wonder what's around the bend? said the explorer
I wonder what that plant is? said the collector
I wonder what's in it? said the chemist
I wonder what activity it has? said the pharmacologist
I wonder if it'll work in this case? said the physician
I hope she lives! said the father
Please God! said the mother
I think she'll be all right in the morning, said the nurse

Nutrients for the stress hormones

The stress hormones rely on certain nutrients for their production. For adrenalin you need enough of vitamins B3 (niacin), B12 and C. Cortisol, wich is also a natural anti-inflammatory substance, cannot be produced without enough vitamin B5 (patothenic acid). Your need for all these nutrients, along with those needed for energy production such as vitamins B and C, goes up with prolonged stress.

The warrior respects the suffering of others and does not try to compare it with his own

"It's just a storm in a teacup," someone says to the warrior of light.
But he never exaggerates his difficulties and always tries to remain calm.
And he never judges someone else's suffering.
A small detail - which does not affect him in the least - could serve to ignite the storm brewing in his brother's soul. The warrior respects the suffering of others and does not try to compare it with his own.
The cup of suffering is not the same size for everyone.

A warrior of light knows that he has much to be grateful for

A warrior of light knows that he has much to be grateful for.
He was helped in his struggle by the angels; celestial forces placed each thing in its place, thus allowing him to give of his best.
His companions say: "He's so lucky!" And the warrior does sometimes achieve things far beyond his capabilities.
That is why, at sunset, he kneels and gives thanks for the Protective Cloak surrounding him.
His gratitude, however, is not limited to the spiritual world; he never forgets his friends, for their blood mingled with his on the battlefield.
A warrior does not need to be reminded of the help given him by others; he is the first to remember and he makes sure to share with them any rewards he receives.

What Are Living Foods?

The easiest way to recognize a living food is to answer this question: "Is it still growing?" If yes, it's a living food. Good examples of living foods are vegetables and fruits growing wild or in your garden. My favorite memories of eating living foods are when I would pick wild berries and find myself eating most of them before I got home, or when I would be tempted to bite into a tomato that had just picked out of my garden. I even remember once pretending I was Bugs Bunny and biting into a carrot right after pulling it from the ground and wiping it clean. "What's up Doc?" It's an incredible experience I call "from garden to mouth". Those of you who have had similar experiences know what I mean when I say there is a distinct difference in the flavour and the energy that these foods provide.
Raw foods are the other stars of health and nutrition. Just remember this about raw foods: the older they get, the fewer nutrients they contain. Think about this: when any living food is picked, it is separated from its energy source (it's "umbilical connection" to Mother Earth), and its growth begins to slow. Within 24 to 48 hours after picking, all the growth stops. This is when a living food becomes an "adult" raw food. Now, as days go by, a raw food's powerful healing energies begin to slowly "radiate out". This may be evidenced by a change in color, a softer texture, a wrinkled appearance, a sweeter taste, etc. Be aware of this and choose only the freshest raw produce as you shop.

Cacao, Cocoa, and Chocolate

What do we mean by cacao, cocoa, and chocolate? Cacao is the tree (Theobroma cacao) and the beans before processing. Theobroma gave the name to a sister of caffeine present in cacao seeds called theobromine. The terms "cocoa" and "chocolate" have meant various things over time. Today cocoa usually refers to the defatted powder from cacao beans, while chocolate refers to any of the manufactured products of the bean. Even though the cacao tree had its origin in the forests of the Amazon and the Orinoco in South America, it was in Central America and Mexico that cacao trees were widely cultivated and their products used as a beverage.
The Mayas introduced drinks made from the cacao bean to the Aztecs, who called this drink chocolatl. The Spanish found it pleasant and stimulating, enough so that Cortez brought it back to Spain in 1528 and introduced the drink there. In 1606, Antonio Carlotti introduced it to Italy and France. The use of chocolate spread to England, and by the early 1700's, there were about 2000 chocolate houses in London. It was the first stimulating drink that became popular in Europe. Caffeine and theobromine are the two closely related stimulants present in the cacao bean. Chocolate is quite low in caffeine, compared to coffee or even tea, but there is enough to give you a moderate lift. Theobromine, while not very stimulating to the brain, is mildly diuretic.
We have good news for the chocolate lover who's worried about the fat in the chocolate. It's an unusual saturated fat - stearic acid. In a 1991 study, Drs Margo Denke and Scott Grundy at the University of Texas discovered that stearic acid does not adversely affect blood cholesterol levels, as do some saturated fats when consumed in large amount.

The Point of Power is Always in the Present Moment

All the events you have experienced in your lifetime up to this moment have been created by your thoughts and beliefs you have held in the past.  They were created by the thoughts and words you used yesterday, last week, last month, last year, 10, 20, 30, 40 or more years ago, depending on how old you are.
However, that is your past. It is over and done with. What is important in this moment is what you are choosing to think and believe and say right now. For these thoughts and words will create your future. Your point of power is in the present moment and is forming the experience of tomorrow, next week, next month, next year and so on.
You might notice what thought you are thinking at this moment. Is it negative or positive? Do you want this thought to be creating your future? Just notice and be aware.

Nature's Little Helpers

The irresponsible use of pesticides is contributing to a steady  reduction in the number of Nature's wonderful pest controllers and beneficial life-forms, as well as the micro-organisms on which our survival depends. Every single organism in the garden, from the most destructive and irritating to the friendliest, has a specific purpose and function. The way we treat them today will, in some small way, help determine the future health of our gardens, ourselves, our environment and our planet.

Colour and Emotion

Psychologists studying the effect of light have discovered that colour can influence our bodies, moods and feelings. Red, the colour of fire and passion, has the power to excite the senses. Blue, cooling and quieting, brings serenity, calms our feelings and slows our reactions.
Sit in a red room and your chatter will become animated and time will fly by. Sit in a blue room and your thoughts will become introspective. Relax, there is no need to hurry. Time will hang heavier here. Each colour has its own properties and excerts its individual influence, subtly impacting on our emotions and behaviour in different ways. Green brings us solace, orange joy and violet inspiration.
It is only by becoming aware of these effects that we can harness the power of colour and actively use it to express our feelings or to change key aspects or our lives. Create a completely new atmosphere in your home by simply changing the decor. Improve your image by wearing the colours that bring your face alive. Or even enhance your health by focusing on the colour that will help to bring balance and harmony to your body and mind.

May You be Guided."

Importance of Medicinal Plants

Plants were once a primary source of all the medicines in the world and they still continue to provide mankind with new remedies. Natural products and their derivates represent more than 50% of all drugs in clinical use in the world. Higher plants contribute no less than 25% to the total. Well-known examples of plant-derived medicines include quinine, morphine, codeine, aspirine, atropine, reserpine and cocaine. Recently, important new anti-cancer drugs such as taxol (Taxus spp) and vincristine (Catharanthus roseus) have been developed. In South Africa, a large part of the day-to-day medicine is still derived from plants and large volumes of plants or their extracts are sold in the informal and commercial sectors of the economy. South Africa's contribution to world medicine includes Cape aloes (Aloe ferox), buchu (Agathosma betulina) and devils claw (Harpagophytum procumbrens), but local equivalents exist for many of the famous remedies used elsewhere. There is a growing interest in natural and traditional medicines as a source of new commercial products. Medicinal plants are somthing of the future, not of the past!

Animals as Spirit Guides

Those spirits that are in animal form that teach us, guide us, empower us, and help us heal are called animal spirit guides or spirit animals. In shamanic and indigenous cultures, they may be called totem animals or power animals. Often these terms are used interchangeably, although there are subtle differences in meaning.
The term power animal has its origin in shamanism. This is a specialized animal guide that shamans or shamanic practitioners acquire early in their initiation into their practice. Their power animal travels with them whenever they go on a shamanic journey, which is an altered state of awareness in which the practitioner sends their soul or consciousness into non-ordinary reality - a shamanic term for the spirit world - to receive teachings, guidance, and healings. You can, however, have a relationship with a power animal even if you're not a shaman or shamanic practitioner. They may come to you in meditations, visions, dreams, or shamanic journeys. It's a highly personal and specialized relationship with an animal spirit guide, one in which the personality and characteristics of the particular power animal that you've attracted to you is typically reflective of your own personality and characteristic.

The Myth of the Bean

The simplistic view of food combining is that carbohydrates and protein foods should be separated because they are digested differently. The fact that eating certain kinds of beans produces flatulence is often quoted as a negative effect, because beans contain both protein and carbohydrates. However, it is now known that this is not the reason for beans' boisterous reputation.
Some beans contain proteins such as lectin, which cannot be digested by the enzymes in our digestive system, even when eaten alone. These proteins can, however, be digested by the bacteria that live in the large intestine. So when you eat beans you feed not only yourself but also these bacteria. After a good meal of lectins, these bacteria produce gas, hence the flatulence. It has got nothing to do with food combining. Many cultures throughout the world have evolved to eat a diet in which beans or lentils are a staple food -  but they suffer no digestive problems.

The Value of Fresh Juices and Drinks

The advantage of juices is that they focus and concentrate the energy of enzymes, minerals, vitamins, and phytonutrients. Juices carry the amplified healing energy of fruits and vegetables plus added food concentrates such as chlorella. Fruit juices act primarily as cleansers. Citrus fruits, for example, have solvent actions; apples contain malic acid and galacturonic acid, which are detoxifiers; pineapples have a high bromelain content, which has many healing and anti-inflammatory effects. Fruits - and fruit juices even more so - help to cleanse and purify the organs. Vegetable juices have more of a tonic effect that heals, stabilizes, and builds the body. Like fruit juices, each vegetable has a specific power to heal a particular organ. For example, beets and dandelions help heal the liver. Green juices contain chlorophyll, which is a tonifier that leads to incredible healing experiences for many.

Energy and Health

Consider the most basic function of energy, which is to keep your body alive. Your body is in a healthy state when its energy is in a healthy state. Such a notion goes beyond the worldview of mainstream medicine. A hundred years ago, germs were the stars of medicine. All the excitement centered on discovering new bacteria and viruses, matching them up with diseases they caused, and then killing the germes before they could hurt the body. Today germs are the stars of the show, and the same pattern is repeating itself. The biggest excitement centres on finding new genes, matching them with specific diseases, then trying to manipulate or splice them before harm is done to the body. Yet the star should have been energy, because germs and genes, like any object, are reducible to energy, and therefore all harm caused to the body is traceable to this fundamental force.

Citrus Flu Tonic

With winter approaching, a good recepy for a flu fighter drink might be appropriate:
Citrus Flu Tonic:
1          Grapefruit, juiced
2          Oranges, juiced
1          Lemon, juiced
1tsp      Orange Rind Juice
1/4 inch Ginger Root, minced
2ml        Echinacea Liquid Extract (2 dropperfuls)
1  tsp     Royal Jelly

Cut the grapefruit and oranges into eights, but only after you scrape, scrape, scrape the pulp from the inside rind. Therein rests the miracle flavonoids and their magical curative powers. Buy organic fruits so you can include a bit of rind with its potent essential oils without the pesticides. Remove as many seeds as possible. Mince the fresh ginger and blend all ingredients until smooth. Royal jelly takes the edge off of the acidic flavour and, as a cousin to bee propolis, adds its own antibacterial capacity to suppress staphylococcus and streptococcus. But you could substitute with honey. A morning drink.

Fasting for Spiritual Strengthening

When John baptized Christ, the Spirit led Him into the desert - not for a vacation, but a preparation through fasting. Each day was another day closer to the suffering of the Cross. Any man would want to run from such a fate, but Christ used fasting to strengthen His resolve. One of Satan's main tactics is to encourage any addiction or lifestyle that makes the body the master, where man is moved by every little whim of the flesh. Fasting is a powerful discipline for bringing the body under submission. You take control. It suffers and you say NO. A soldier without needs cannot be tempted and will not turn from duty. Each great servant of God had his/her time of fasting. It is an essential spiritual discipline and without it we are weak. It fortifies spiritual foundations, builds intimacy with God and strengthens resolve.

The Quantum Mechanical Human Body

To comprehend how this is possible, we have to delve deeper into the body itself. In Ayurveda, the physical body is the gateway to what I call the "quantum mechanical human body". Physics informs us that the fabric of nature lies at the quantum level, far beyond atoms and molecules. A quantum, defined as the basic unit in matter of energy, is from 10,000,000 to 100,000,000 times smaller than the smallest atom. At this level, matter and energy become interchangeable. All quanta are made of invisible vibrations - ghosts of energy - waiting to take physical form. Ayurveda says that the same is true of the human body - it first takes from as intense but invisible vibrations, called quantum fluctuations, before it proceeds to coalesce into impulses of energy and particles of matter.
The quantum mechanical body is the underlying basis for everything we are: thoughts, emotions, proteins, cells, organs - any visible or invisible part of ourselves. At the quantum level, your body is sending out all kinds of invisible signals, waiting for you to pick them up. You have a quantum pulse underlying your physical one, and a quantum heart beating it out. In fact, Ayurveda holds that all the organs and processes in your body have a quantum equivalent.

Enzymes, The Spark of Life

Enzymes are the universal "Spark of Life". The word ENZYME comes from the Greek root ENZYMOS, which means "to cause change". Enzymes are responsible for every metabolic action in the body. From blinking an eye to secreting saliva, from the beating of the heart to digesting nutrients, enzymes are the champions that make it all happen. They are the catalysts that enable cells to work and chemical reactions to happen without themselves being consumed in the process. Enzymes are ancient and modern magic.
Enzymes are energized protein molecules made up of specific protein structures called APOENZYMES. Enzymes work with cofactors, such as  vitamins and minerals, to spark biochemical reactions. It is the energy created by the enzymes that produces biochemical reactions, which is the magic that orchestrates a trillion cells to cooperatively function. These actions and reactions regulate the body's  diverse processes and are an essential part of larger processes like digestion. Without this "spark of life" of enzymes, life would simply cease to exist.
Specific enzymes are tailored for specific means and needs. There are thousands of different enzymes in the body, each with a precise encoded function. There are enzymes for digestion; cellular function and energy; repairing tissue, organs, and cells; utilizing and decoding nutrients; concentrating iron in the blood; coagulating blood; eliminating carbon dioxide from the lungs; detoxifying waste from the kidneys, colon, and liver; and a relatively infinite number of cooperative interactions that enable the miraculous process of life to happen.

Prayer to the water in Japan's nuclear plants

To All People Around the World

Please send your prayers of love and gratitude to water at the nuclear plants in Fukushima, Japan!

By the massive earthquakes of Magnitude 9 and surreal massive tsunamis, more than 10,000 people are still missing…even now… It has been 16 days already since the disaster happened. What makes it worse is that water at the reactors of Fukushima Nuclear Plants started to leak, and it’s contaminating the ocean, air and water molecule of surrounding areas.

Human wisdom has not been able to do much to solve the problem, but we are only trying to cool down the anger of radioactive materials in the reactors by discharging water to them.

Is there really nothing else to do?

I think there is. During over twenty year research of hado measuring and water crystal photographic technology, I have been witnessing that water can turn positive when it receives pure vibration of human prayer no matter how far away it is.

Energy formula of Albert Einstein, E=MC2 really means that Energy = number of people and the square of people’s consciousness.

Now is the time to understand the true meaning. Let us all join the prayer ceremony as fellow citizens of the planet earth.   I would like to ask all people, not just in Japan, but all around the world to please help us to find a way out the crisis of this planet!!
The prayer procedure is as follows.

Name of ceremony:
“Let’s send our thoughts of love and gratitude to all water in the nuclear plants in Fukushima”

Day and Time:
March 31st, 2011 (Thursday)
12:00 noon in each time zone

Please say the following phrase:
“The water of Fukushima Nuclear Plant, we are sorry to make you suffer.  Please forgive us.  We thank you, and we love you.”

Please say it aloud or in your mind. Repeat it three times as you put your hands together in a prayer position.

Please offer your sincere prayer.

Thank you very much from my heart.

With love and gratitude,
Masaru Emoto
Messenger of Water

The Vibration Principle

LIFE FORCE ENERGY HAS A DISTINCT VIBRATION THAT WILL UPLIFT, PURIFY, REJUVENATE, AND ENERGIZE EVERY CELL IN YOUR BODY, DRAMATICALLY TRANSFORMING YOUR APPEARANCE AND MIND-SET.
Matter is 99% space. Emerging from that space is vibrating energy. Everything that exists, be it natural or synthetic, has a vibration, an electromagnetic charge, and a resulting field. The earth itself, the moon, trees, animals, even your dining room table, all have a specific vibratory pulse that not only affects their own being, but the energy of those around them. Things that have a lot of Life Force Energy vibrate at a much more rapid rate than things that have very little Life Force Energy. For example, a plant vibrates at a much more rapid rate than a table. An apple vibrates at a much faster rate than a serving of fries. Human beings are designed to have a relatively high vibration (according to vibration specialist, Bruce Tainio, ideally somewhere between 60 and 80 megahertz).

Fasting a Natural Body Function

With great patience, the body waits until we fall asleep to begin its nightly work of cleansing. BREAKFAST is appropriately named as it is breaking a nightly fast with a morning meal. Upon awakening from this short fast, the tongue is coated, breath foul, skin puffy and the ming foggy. These are all early symptoms of the body in a state of detoxyfication. Bacon, eggs, a side order of pancakes, and a cup of coffee is a sure way of halting detoxification. Of course, you fell instantly better, attributing it to a greasy breakfast.
These nightly fasts slow the erosion process and much repair work is done, but the time is too short for serious healing. For that, you need to get serious with detoxification through extended fasting.

Tapping the secret laws of life force energy

In ancient Chinese medicine it was named CHI or QI. The Japanese named it KI. In India it goes by the name PRANA. The Hawaiians call it MANNA, and the African Bushmen call it BOILING ENERGY. They all recognized the same timeless force that we in the West call LIFE FORCE ENERGY. All ancient traditions understand that Life Force Energy needs to flow freely and abundantly form the energy fields surrounding us into our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being to be possible.
If Life Force Energy is the power that breathes life into everything that lives, it's not something that you want to go through life low on, though most people do. The one thing everyone is after - great-looking, healthy appearance - can easily be attained simply by increasing the flow of this key ingredient in the body. IN A WORLD CONSTANTLY IN SEARCH OF THE MIRACLE FOOD, THERE IS SIMPLY NOTHING ON THE PLANET THAT IS AS GOOD FOR YOU AS LIFE FORCE ENERGY!
Life Force Energy is a real, measurable force that surrounds everything on our planet. The ancient traditions consider it to be highly nutritive: they knew there was a much more powerful nourishing force at play than just solid foods. Now it is time for the Western world to give credit where credit is due - not to milk, grain, and beef, which rob us of our life force - but to CHI, KI and PRANA, which provide it!

Taking back your life

With so much information on how to change your life, your diet, your emotions, what you manifest, and a plethara of tools with which to do it, how in the world does a normal person make his or her way through all this self help information to find THE way, THE truth and the LIGHT?
The simple answer is each person must find their own truth.  Take one step in the right direction and The Divine Forces kick into gear to support you.  It is not in reminding yourself what you don't have in the vision board, or creating unreachable ambitions that make this moment glaringly lacking.
It is in ticking the boxes in each moment that are easy, achievable and nurturing to your physical, mental and emotional bodies.

So just for today, drink two litre's of water, do five minutes of stretching, listen to your favourite inspiring sound track, smile at every person you pass on the street, tell yourself how gorgeous you are, and speak gently to your loved ones.  Eat one salad and one less coffee or tea.

How is that going to change your life?
For every time you show respect to yourself you are ticking a box of loving and forgiving yourself and others you are activating the Law of Vibration, Law of Attraction and raising your level of light.  Which means you are healing yourself, and drawing in the love and abundance of God, the universe.  I dare you to give it a go!!

Detoxing your emotions

For a detox to work on all aspects of your life, you need to do more than cleanse your body... you need to detox your emotions.
Holistic healers believe that old resentments can burden your body and deplete your energy and, surprisingly, this idea is slowly becoming more accepted by practitioners of traditional medicine.
That's because there is increasing evidence that emotions create chemical reactions in the body, and that these substances, which have the potential to cause health problems later, can be stored in muscles and organs.
This area of "emotional" science is called neuroscience or "bodymind" medicine. While much more research is needed into the field there is no doubt that holding onto anger, resentment, frustration or envy can wear down your mind and body. If nothing else, you will regularly feel fatigued and have a deminished capacity to enjoy your everyday life.
Emotional detoxing means not only addressing these "old wounds", but also any harmful thought patterns and habits that lead to fear and anxiety - both of which can impact on your health.

Detoxification

“The sages of the ancient world were well aware of the inseparable link between the state of the body and the state of the mind, for they knew that the toxic blood and tissues form a breeding ground not only for the disease and degeneration of the human body but the darkening and degeneration of the human spirit.  Many ancient scriptures prescribe fasting and detox as the first preliminary steps on the path of spiritual self cultivation.  Today the mutual dependence of physical and spiritual health has largely been forgotten, and few people see the causal connection between the massive pollution of the planet and the degradation of the human body, and rampant crime, chronic violence and spiritual malaise that marks human life in contemporary times.
According to the psycho physiological prescription of the ancient sages who gave birth to western civilization, cleaning up the planet and detoxifying the human body are the best medicine of all both for restoring peace on earth and reviving health and spiritual integrity of humanity.” (The Toa of Detox – Daniel Reid)

Colon Hydrotherapy dates back to 1600BC, documented in the book of Essene, the hieroglyphs and the Yogi practices, not to mention an integral part of South African traditional healing modalities.  It is now a popular and acceptable therapy practiced all over the world to aid all healing from a host of disorders and illness.

Detoxification deals with the biochemistry of the eliminatory systems.  This includes the toxic waste from metabolism, the food and water ingested, air breathed and substances applied to the skin, hair and nails. Every cell in the body, of which there are approximately 70 million, has to eliminate waste in order to assimilate nutrients in order to regenerate.

99% of disease can be related to degenerative conditions, most of which stem from poor elimination.   Our “civilised” life-styles ensure the input of a host of plastic, refined, saturated foods, which the body is unable to digest. This is stored in the colon, resulting in the accumulation of impacted waste.  Bowel movements should be daily, anything less results in the auto intoxification of the body.
